This Privacy Policy explains how MeCute Bot (“Bot”, “Dashboard”, “we”, “our”) collects, uses, and stores information when you interact with our services.
2. Data We Collect
When you use the Bot or Dashboard, we may collect:
- Discord User ID, username, and avatar.
- Discord Server (Guild) IDs and names where the Bot is installed.
- Channel IDs for music playback commands.
- Messages and interactions with the Bot (e.g., slash commands, playlist additions).
- Dashboard login data via Discord OAuth2 (basic profile, servers you manage).
- Usage logs (commands run, timestamps).
- Preferences and custom settings saved for your servers.
- For premium subscriptions: payment confirmation details (processed via third-party provider, not stored by us).
We do not collect your Discord password.
3. Purpose of Collection
We collect and process this information to:
- Provide music playback, playlists, and bot features.
- Authenticate users for the Dashboard (via Discord login).
- Store server-specific configurations and preferences.
- Enable premium features and verify subscriptions.
- Ensure security, detect abuse, and prevent misuse.
- Improve functionality and user experience.
4. Data Storage & Retention
- Data is stored securely on our hosting provider.
- We keep command logs for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
- Server preferences and dashboard settings are kept until you remove the Bot or request deletion.
- Premium subscription info is retained as long as your subscription is active.
5. Third-Party Sharing
We may share limited data with:
- Discord (for login, OAuth, and API usage).
- Streaming platforms (Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.) when you request playback.
- Payment processors for premium features.
- Hosting and analytics providers.
We do not sell your data.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/SSL) and limit database access to authorized staff only. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request:
- Access to the data we hold about you.
